has anyone ever heard of a horse having maggotts in their ear?? what can be done to get rid and never happen again??

If your horse has got maggots in its ear thencall the vet. Are you sure there maggots? How long has the horse had them? Need more info

You do need he vet, there is something going on in there that needs sorting.
Let us know as never come across this before.

Check they haven't rolled in something gross - my TBx rolled on a dead rabbit last year and bits of it (including maggots) all over her back. It was gross!

My old chap got maggots in his sheath! Had to get the vet out as he was beside himself. That's what you get for being rather too relaxed and letting flies get on it!

Bless him he was soooo happy to get rid of them

Horse on previous yard apparently had maggots in his frog!!!! Ewwwwww!!!!

I would call the vet if they are in his ear for sure......... quickly, as there is nothing you can do for them yourself
