I have been looking at Magic Darco as a suitable 'husband' for my mare (Tornado FCS foal due 1st April ish), and was wondering if anyone owns or has seen any of his progeny? I am aware that Magic Darco is now in America and has been gelded but not really sure why, can anyone shed any light on this?

Would it be worth taking a look at another stallion by Darco, Unbelievable Darco, who stands in the UK at Brendon Stud, and has lots of offspring on the ground, many of them doing very well? (Darco Dream and Sir Darco, to name but two) He has the most gorgeous temperament, and is a seriously talented boy....

Thank you, I will take a look.

I know Nick Skelton really rated Magic Darco before his accident and Mrs Hales still owns the frozen semen held at Twemlows.

I'd also second Unbelievable Darco. I truly reckon that this horse would have been one of the best if it weren't for the fact that he was sidelined for a long time after having colic surgery and only returned to form last year I believe. The pics on the website do not truly do him justice as I have seen some recently that are awesome, showing his gorgeous personality.

no sorry, typical, she is the only one not for sale (!) so i havent bothered. im taking her out next week tho so maybe ill get some.she is very correct, short coupled with masses of power and even tho she is 16.3, is easy to ride and shorten/lengthen etc. and im only 5'5.
actually, the far right on my siggie is her but thats a really bad one of her at 2 when she was really poor!
there are loads of progeny piccies on that website. i know lots of darco babies and would vouch for all of them temperament wise!

My Unbelievable Darco foal has the most fantastic temperament

He's just over 6 months now, am really pleased with him, and he's very easy to do!

we have an unbelievable darco x cavalier Royale 5yo gelding, we bought him at the begining of January and he'd only done one training show and was very green.

He has come on so much in the 7 weeks we've had him, he has the quietest temp, loads of jump and a good technique

Thinking about buying his 4yo full brother!

I'm another Unbelievable Darco fan....

Not bred one but I have a rising 5yo stallion by him that I bought last year unbroken.

He has the most fantastic temperament and I've been told probably by most of the fans above that he must have got it from his dad!! He was really easy to back and is coming on really well so definitely trainable temperaments!

My boy was injured as a 2yo so we're just keeping our fingers crossed he stands up to ridden work other than that he is perfect in everyway!! He is out of a mare by Zarlequin.

ZARLEQUIN has a wonderful nature, never known such a good natured horse.lHis offspring won the BEF Futurity overall champion foal 2007.
