R.I.P. little Magic man. 26.6.06 - 27.5.07 (11.45am).

Thank you one and all. I now honestly consider you all personal virtual friends of mine. Your love, prayers and thoughts have kept me going and your advice and encouragement has been invaluable over this last week.

Vet phoned at 10.30am to say that he was waving his little leg around in pain. The 'fibrolin' (poison/bacteria) had taken hold too strongly and they had done all that they could. I felt that as he was in so much pain since the bute wore off, even though I still wanted to fight on, I couldnt let him suffer. Maybe he has an important job to do at Rainbow Bridge.

I have just logged on to tell you all and find all your messages which have completely cracked me up. It certainly puts peoples petty squabbles into perspective.

For me, please give your horse an extra special hug today.

Im not sure of exactly what happed but im sitting here crying reading your post. What an awful thing it must be to have lost a baby and i cant imagine what your going throught right now.

It sounds like a heart breaking desion had to be made for the foals sake and it doesnt sound like you really had any option and had done all you could.

Helen, I'm so sorry, I'm sure that a lovely little fella like him has already got foaly friends by the truckload in that much nicer place he's already in! My mum always told me that when we die, all our much loved animals (if we were nice to them) will all be waiting up there ready to welcome us, which is something i always hope is true!

You did so so much for him, and don't forget that!
