Wow, how amazing are rhythm beads! Made some and tried them out this weekend!
A usually slow / ploddy horse, who will plant so she doesn't have to lead was transformed into a slightly faster more alert horse who led two hacks without complaint.

I also found the sound soooo relaxing, as did the other riders on the hack! :)

Sooo Soo So HAPPY. :D:D:D:D

I have some too! Great that your horse has become a bit more forward :)Haven't used them for a while though, not sure what Len would make of them :D

Ive seen this concept before - but struggled to work it out.
I think they could help my mare shift it - in the school she is SO lazy!
If I understand them right, they are (clinky??) 'bracelets' around the forelock to make a small sound with each step??

Trouble is my horse is a bit bombproof - im not sure she would be persuaded to actually do some work by a small noise! :P

How did you make yours??
Thanks

Not round the forelock, around the neck, secured with a hair grip to the mane. I don't know if they are beneficial but the ones with bells on are fun.

My horse isn't bothered by much. It seems to send them into a trance more than 'persuade' them to work! I just hope they keep working.

I made my own by using cat bells and a cord, and the 'pimped' them up a bit with beads and stuff. So its something really cheap any one can try.

I'll try and post a picture.

Hmmm, That didn't work. Put picture on an album via Profile page then used picture Icon to add URL.

What Have I done wrong..... How do I put it on?

Absolutely brilliant!
Desensitise your horse first - let them wear them around the stable for a few minutes etc - I wore them round MY neck at first mucking out etc!
They really help my p/l mare get a rhythm and keep her focus - she's much less spooky when she wears them :)
