Anyone know one that works?

Im sure I have heard that you can buy this sort of stuff that is actually for cows but acts as a calmer for nags. Am i right?
Thanks (realised that the cannabis option is not really suitable

)!

We've used global herbs Magcalm with Dragon when he was at his "highest".

It did work, but I think is a fairly powerful one. Another of the girls here used one that was a stage down - i think it was Supercalm?

Maybe work your way towards the magcalm.

Also for him it was to calm tension caused by his penchant for the ladies and to help with his tension in the nasal area that we felt was responsible for his slight headshake (magnesium is reported to have an effect on blood pressure, and we felt this may help him - it did

Yep like I suggested in the comp riders thread, you should try Magic by Naf

Naf Tempralax is a brown liquid. It says:
"A unique dietetic for the reduction of stress reactions. Designed to be used as and when needed. Give approximately 1 to 3 hours before the time it needs to take effect. Ideal for use in stressful situations. "

Sounds like it would work for V for comps. Is this it?

Ohhh Temprelax is pretty good stuff

Naf Magic is something you gve daily and works for some, does naf (;) ) all to others, but if it does work its a good maintenence additive

We use Epsom salts (magnesium) to take the edge off the young horses and hot eventers, much cheaper. put two 25ml scoops into a cup and disolve with warm water then add to feed- easy!

I need something to take the edge of mine some days he is totally stressed and sweats up. Was actually going to talk to our vet when he is up on Friday to assess my other man's spavin to see if he could recommend something to help him chill out. Will give Magic a go.

i tried a few on the shelves of the feed merchant with no luck. Went to the vet to see if they could help and they offered me Equiliser or Betamag 30. Took Equiliser as they had run out of the betamag and couldnt wait around for the delivery - its great stuff - works wonders. Really took the edge of my youngster - got to the point i only had to feed half dose to her

How pricey is the Equiliser? I've been trying to get cal-mag but can't find a local supplier and it costs a fortune when you need to get it posted.

We have a horse on the yard who was manic- spooky sharp and very difficult. He is on NupaFeed and is like a different horse. He is almost too calm!
