I have a very excitable and nervous horse, previous to owning him he went from home to home and not treated too well, he is full of life and energy but also panicks alot by sweating up when only on a 30 minute hack and constantly pooing! He continues to come on leaps and bounds in the six months that I have owned him, he is no longer head shy, he is easy to catch, loves fuss etc but I just want to combat the panic element he seems to work himself up into. He was previously raced all over the place, did cross country etc and I have toned all that down by just pleasure riding, hacking etc and he has a lovely life with 3 other horses in a large field. Thinking about if magnesium would help but never used it before, don't want a calmer as such as not sure about the other ingredients but thinking of pure magnesium on a daily basis. He doesn't have solid food at moment so can't add it to food so would need a liquid I could give him every day in syringe. Looking for peoples thoughts on this? thanks
