I'm looking at getting some hock boots for my horse who has recently been diagnosed with spavin from a kick when he was younger in one leg only. Does anyone have any experience with hock boots and which ones to go for? Have been looking at PE, Veredus (which are pricey but look fab!) and also Back on Track (which I know aren't magnetic but same principal).

My horse is also about to go in for stifle arthroscopy on both stifles next week (mega bad luck and has been an awful couple of weeks!!) and I wondered if the rug might help him through his box rest and recovery? I have access to an equissage as an alternative. Just looking at all options to help get him through the surgery and give him the best chance I can for a full recovery.

Thanks!! x

Bear in mind that you only really want magnets on for 2 hours, I use mine for travelling (rug and front wraps) definately find that she is much more relaxed and settled when we get to shows.

We regularly use magnetic rugs at work and horses which often pull out stiff are better after using them.
I have just bought some premier equine magnetic fetlock boots for my own horse but it's too soon to say if they have really made much difference.
We leave them on longer than 2 hours but most manufacturers advice varies. One thing they all seem to agree is to build up the time they are worn slowly.

I have a rug with movable magnetic stips - they velcro in place. TBH I dont know if it makes a difference but I use it before and after riding and in the trailer if he is travelling. I have read (in the adverts) that magnets vary a lot in strength in rugs and presumabaly stronger is better? What I did find when we used a friends more expenisve magnetic rug is that he got very warm with it, and maybe it was that that helps as much as magnet magic

I have the Veredus rug and back boots, great purchase! One of my horses back legs swell up when stood in for long periods and i hate keeping him constantly bandaged he gets them on for a couple of hours in the morning and again at night and i honestly can't believe the difference its made. I use my rug everyday before i ride and i put them on when i arrive at a show. I also travel the horse that legs swells with the boots on :)

I have magnetic rugs for both of mine and use them for travelling in, they always seem more relaxed after having them on. Also use the magentic boots on horses legs that swell and these work great as do the back on track boots x

Hi - i have a mgnetic rug and from bell boots - the bell boots work wonders especailly when my pony is a bit footy or lami - the magnetic rug im not so sure on - i only use to warm ber muscle before tacking up - i like the "thought~" that it helps though

I love my premier equine magnetic rug especially this time of year helps warm him up and I def notice a difference after he has worn it for an hour :-)
