Hi

My Horse has a check ligament injury, he has had Adaquan Injections and been off work for the past 4 months, we started to slowly bring him back into work (after being scanned) but his leg has flaired back up. The vet has started a second set of Adaquan injections and suggested some magnetic boots. BUT WHICH ONES!!!! Does anybody have any advice. He is being turned out in a small flat paddock, he has Cortaflex HA and is being cold hosed and iced. Thanks

I have the NEW magnetic boots which i use to work mine in and then i have premier equine wraps that go on in the stable. you do have to get them used to wearing thm though so mine have not yet had them on in the night, just a couple of hours a day :)

A lot of people on here really rate bioflow boots, but I haven't tried hem myself. Premier equine do some, too, and equilibrium. Good luck :)

Im another vote for BIO FLOW just fab!!

and if the boots get damaged they will swap your old ones in for new ones and give you 50% off new ones.

I use the Bioflow boots, and really rate them for my mare's, they all wear them when stabled to stop stiffness, and if recovering from injury, I have had some fantastic results.

Big fan of magnetic boots! I use bioflow and N.E.W. and Aerborn now harpley equestrian. Whichever ones you decide on get them soon! They can be used continuously if you are clever and "rotate the legs" so overnight on the fronts, in the day on the hinds, or diagonally one front, one back, it all helps speed up the process of healing by improving the circulation whether on the offending limbs or not (advice from my back specialist). I also use a magnetic rug - boy does that speed up healing! I am by no means an expert but I have ben using them for years so if you have any other enquiries or questions feel free to pm ;0

i have the bioflow ones for hind fetlock pastern area, was a bit concerned how they would fit and work ect, but have to say they are perfectly taylored to the area prescribed and although i have only had them on a few times the magnets are red hot when i take them off, not sure if they are working yet but deffo worth a go imo!!

I have been eyeing up PE ones for ages but I believe they are max 4 hours wear, no good as my boy would need to overnight in them eventually. Watching this thread with interest though!

I've seen some info on the Premier Equine ones that says 4 hours but can be left on for up to 12. I think they seem to have most effect in the first 4 hours! This is just what they say on their website. I'm wondering about stable boots for the night (which would be the injured leg) and brushing boots i.e bioflow or NEW for daytime on the back as somebody mentioned that this would get the best results! I've been leant to some bioflow ones which I'm using short term until I can get some of my own. Does anybody have any thoughts ?
