Magnetic Boots

Hi

I use Bioflow magnetic boot on my chap. I was told to make sure that you get boots with good quality magnets in so that the horse would get the full benefit of them. They really help my boy as he had 3 ops on his hind leg due to an infection in the synovial fluid in the fetlock joint.

Thanks Flash!!

HOw long do you leave urs on for?? I was gonna leave my mare in with them over night but am worried about them slipping down? Iv also been reccommended the equilibrium ones but i dont think they look very secure??

I bought my chap his about 2 years ago now and they have stood up to the test of crazy TB very well! I have the tendon wraps for him to wear in the feild and they have never slipped on him. They are also made from material that is almost like netting so that their is airflow to the leg. They are very soft and spongy and mould to the leg. In his stable he has veredus magnet wraps but they were about the only ones on the market when he was ill. Although they are quite worn out now so I'm on the lookout for some new ones! I also saw the Equilibrium ones but they felt a little rough on the inside so I am looking at some boots by Premier Equine for the stable. I leave my boy in his Bioflows out in the field all day and then depending on how bad his legs are depends on what wraps he has on at night in the stable. Apparently if you want to upgrade your Bioflow boots in a few years to come or your boots become a bit tatty tthey will get you discount on a new pair. Hope my rambling has helped!

I have the equilibrium ones (if you are meaning the magnetic stable chaps). They are secure as they have 4 strong velcro fastenings which havent loosened with washing etc and dont slip. They arent rough on the inside either. I really liked them until i found that the magnets had snapped into several small pieces! Equilibrium are saying its due to the temperature of the horse. (legs have never sweated in them) so if you have a warm horse then dont get them. In all fairness though Equilibrium are replacing them with 4 smaller magnets instead of a strip and i was very pleased with them till they snapped.

I have the Bioflow brushing boots and tendon wraps. The Tendon wraps fit quite big which is why I also bought the brushing boots as they were too big for my 16.1 mare to wear on her front legs.

I chipped my old brushing boots in when I bought the wraps and got them half price. Bioflow recycle the magnets. I'd had the old boots years so they are worth the extra money.

Premier Equine have a sale on they are half price and i have them for my arthritic mare and they have made a really big difference.

I'm glad that they have said that they would replace them for you! Most wouldn't and I do like people with good customer service. I must have just picked up a pair in the shop that were a bit poo then. They were a bit rough around where the magnets were stitched in. I do have other boots by equilibrium and have been very happy with them. I have some hardy chaps for the others and they have sure saved me a vet bill or too! Maybe I will go back and have a look at the magnetic stable wraps again.
