Which magnetic boots do people use for their arthritic horses? I am looking to get some for my boy but am confused as there are so many around

Where is the arthritis? I recommend Bioflow to everyone, NEW are good too or Harpley equestrian formerly Aerborn. Don't go for cheapy ones. If the arthritis is severe consider a magnetic rug - well worth the investment. I know as my mare has the full outfit and it makes a huge difference to her flexibility. :)

Ted has collateral ligament damage and I use equilibrium therapy magnetic stable boots - bought them agesss ago for an ex racer I had with tendon trouble....they are good I think...they were around 56 pound.

I borrowed Bioflow boots of my instructor for the winter months and they worked miracles on my boy. It was his first winter with arthritus but he didn't get stiff once which i was worried he would as he is stabled but Bioflow boots help him stop getting stiff. Ordering my own pair ready for winter x

There is no scientific evidence that magnets work...however they are harmless so will not cause any damage. Results from a few of my friends dissertations have shown that there is no difference in increased blood flow to the area between magnetic boots and normal boots.

I have heard that in order for magnets to increase blood flow by attracting the iron in blood, the magnets would need to be a whole lot more powerful than the ones they sell in boots/rugs etc.

However you will not cause any harm by using them. Some claim they work...some don't.

I bought a pair last winter for my old boy. Wasn't convinced until I put them on him, his whole demeanour changed you could actually see him relax, thye warmed up his legs and he was definately not as stiff when walking back to his stable.

I bought mine from ebay, there is a company that do dog and equine magnetic rugs and boots, what I like about this company is that you can buy magnets on velcro that can be put onto your existing rugs and also stick onto your boots. They are fab, worked really well for Charlie so much so I bought a rug for him too.

I had tried loads of supplements and nothing worked until I used the magnets

I am Follychoppins OH and I am also a qualified electronics engineer.

When my OH first started talking about magnetic boots, I was adamant that they are a complete waste of money. All my knowledge of magnetism told me that you could not generate a powerful enough magnetic field and that any blood passing through the weedy field generated by a boot or rug would have little effect on the iron in the blood.

Never the less, my OH borrowed and then bought the magnetic gear, and the change in her mare was almost instant and visible. I don't know how or why they work, but they do.

i dont use them cos my pony doesnt have problem and hopefully wont but i do know people that say bioflow are vey good
