Do any of you use magnetic boots for lameness problems (such as arthritis)? If so which ones? and how long and often do you leave them on for - and have they made a noticeable difference? Thanks in advance

people i have spoken to have said they have noticed a difference, particularly arthritic horses. You hould leave them on for no longer than 12 hours in a day, but you can put them on the fore legs for 12 hours, then swap to the hind legs for the other 12. You should never wear them whilst riding or exercising your horse. The best ones are bioflow as these are what we sell in the practice and vets said they are the best. I spoke to a woman who said the boots have given her horse a new lease of life. Can you borrow some to see how you get on wih them?

I have used them for about 5 years on and off. We use Bioflow and these are very good. I have a 36 yr pony with arthritic knees and when they are swollen and sore the boots really seem to help relieve the discomfort and bring down swelling. Also use on my riding horse over night as he has a tendancy towards puffy legs and they do help. Use a magnetic head collar too as he has a sore pole and that does improve him slightly.

I use them overnight (no more than 12 hrs) build up gradually. Don't put on wet legs.
