Magnetic brushing boots - any good for bone spavin??

I've got a £10 voucher for New Equine Wear and I noticed they have magnetic brushing boots for £60 a pair... Does anyone know what kind of thing they might be helpful for? I was wondering whether they might have any kind of beneficial effect to use for exercise on horses with bone spavin, or does it have to actually be on the hock? Sorry I'm a bit clueless!!

my friend has a pair for her old clysedale. she puts them on at night to help with his stiffness.
she really reckons they help in his situation- sorry not really answering your Q

but just thought id say that i have heard good praise for them

Oscar wears magnetic wraps overnight coz he has windgalls and to help his cruciate heal when he was poorly. They do help and as far as Im aware coz they increase the flow of blood around the body so dont have to be on the actual site you want to help....I really hope I havent just made that up

- Im sure someone will tell me if Im wrong!

I've read a bit on the www about the Bioflow ones, which they do claim help arthritis and bone spavin, and a couple of customer reviews of them were good. I imagine the NEW ones would have the same effect, particularly as they have 3 magnets per boot compared with the Bioflow's 2?

Ie got the NEW ones, brought them for a HUGE splint o recommendation from someone in the knowledge so to speak

Havent reduced the splint much, but have helped. They are meant to be very very good fro arthritic changes, so yes should have a bit of an effect on spavins....

He damaged them a bit when he got colic but I called to ask if I could have some material to patch them up (he had rubbed where the magnets were and I was worried they would fall out) and they sent me a massive bit FOC

thanks! I will probably go for the NEW ones as I want to be able to ride in them - as she is living out I wouldn't get much use out of the leg wraps or hock boots, which seem more designed to use on a stabled horse overnight... (Plus I need to disguise them as ordinary brushing boots so my parents don't have a go at me for wasting my money on expensive gimmicks

)
