well let me know - they are £72.50 as well !!!! eeeek especially if they dont work !!

Yes - I know alot of people who use them - was an article in H+H about a woman doing Adv Med in them the other week - I use one but not done any BD since - personally I think it's brilliant - others don't - shame you're not nearer or you could borrow it.

Tempi - I'm completely scientifically minded and personally wouldn't have spent £60 on something without visible evidence - I borrowed one off a friend who reckoned it didn't work and was amazed (took me a forthnight to believe it was the headpiece

Friend had it back and tried it again and now also swears by it.

One thing I will say is that you do need it one 30mins or so before you ride - if I forget (like I@m riding first thing in the morning) to leave him with it on his headcollar and just put bridle straight on with the headpiece it takes ages for him to relax.

Forgot it on saturday morning and he was extremely unflexible laterally and generally argumentative - he hasn't done that for ages

If you buy one they are tending to sell for almost same amount on ebay if you don't get on with it - tbh if you don't let me know and I'll have it off you if I've ot any spare cash (save me having to swap it between bridle and h-collar)

I can't say how it works - don't think anyone can but on my lad it does

I dont really understand this idea. I understand magnets increase bloodflow and that's how they heal things. I personally wouldn't fancy increasing bloodflow to the brain?! Sounds a bit weird. Plus, I have also read that magnets can give some people bad headaches etc. especially at first, certainly wouldn't want a big magnet sitting near the brain then...?!

Thank you, thats really interesting. i think im definately going to try one. The only problem is im about to put him back on his calmer as he turned into a nutter when i took him off it, so not sure how im going to distunguish between the headpiece working and the calmer kicking in again........

Wait for a couple of months before buying the headpiece would seem the most sensible solution....

I realy want to get one now aswell, but feel like i should wait because of the calmer thing. Altho i do know what he feels like on his calmer too......

*i must be patient, i must be patient*

Oh dear, is Archie being a monster again? BAD PONY. These young horses - they are rather trying, aren't they!

I don't know anything about these magnetic headpieces, but I do use magnetic stable wraps on my horse's front legs at night, and they were actually recommended by my extremely non-fluffy vet as something that would help him heal after his operation. I would be interested to hear if the headpiece is effective!

I'd put him on the calmer and wait, and then if you still feel he needs the headpiece introduce that once you know the calmer has kicked in.

I can't believe he *actually* has horns. Giggles.

He really does have them - M_M has felt them!!!!! Its quite freaky!!!

Even when on the calmer before he could be tense through his poll which was always a problem. Hes always got a bit of an edge aswell - i had thought previously i might try a magnetic headpiece on him. So i think i will definately be investing in one.

ooo am liking this post! Think it could be something i would invest in for Dexter he gets very tense at competitions, and finds it hard to relax his frame/poll/mind etc.

Would love to hear more sucess stories! (and a cheaper price!!
