Hi Guys

Im just wondering if the magnetic boots are actually any good. Murph went lame on his off hind and we think ita a bone spavin in his hock but unfortunately beofre he could go for his x-ray and nerve blocks he did the digital flexor tendon in both front legs. These are healing slowly but its going to be a long time until he is up to trot ups for the hind leg.

So i thought that maybe he could have a magnetic boot on while on his box rest. I noticed that Derby House do one but it says for use after exercise, so can they not be used for what i want to use it for?

Don't really know much about magnetic boots so any input would be great.

Thanks
Jeni

My mum uses a magnetic bracelet on her wrist and says it has really helped no end with the pain and it isnt nearly as stiff(recovering form a brake).

have just put post on vet forum regarding an injury my yearling suffered. Treated him with electro-magnetic boot which was hired, as are pricey to buy. I felt the treatment really helped and from what i was told, would be suitable for your sort of injury. I also tried magnetic boot but saw no effect but maybe they are good for stiffness and athritic conditions more so than promoting healing?

I think the general feeling is that they really do help. We've had people come back saying their lame horse is now sound after the vet saying it wasn't a good outlook. Having said that they've also been piling supplements into the horse too so hard to say if its a combination or both or just the mag boots
