Magnetic rug in warmer weather

I love my magnetic rug and find it really helps pre exercise but think its way too warm for the summer. (When it comes back!) My horse always runs a bit warm too. I have the PE one as love the neck. Has anyone tried the Magnetix one? Or the one from Veredus?
