This has probably been asked before, but are there any scientific studies that can say definitely that magnets, megnetic therapy, etc. improves arthritic conditions? Or that it doesn't help at all...............
Apparently not but results speak for them selves, many people have noticed and claimed that their horses are more comfortable and believe it does help, considering the fact that most of the magnetic products on the market are not expensive, then my view is surely it's worth a try and seeing for yourself, I'm ordering some this week to find out as I'm also interested in this magnetic therapy business too.
This comes up a lot at work ( pain management and arthritis in people) there is currently no conclusive evidence for effectiveness but is strong on placebo effect. Double blind randomised controls trials are few but nearly all show no effect though many swear by them. In horses suspect if owner belives its working then will interprate any positive change to support that view. As with many of these things much more about beliefs. Saying all that at least they do no harm
