I am NOT asking for a debate on magnets!!
Just a question, how do people rate FMBs and Bioflow magnetic boots? I'd get the Bioflow ones on the strength of friends' recommendations but I am rather tempted by the (cheaper) FMBs over-reach boots. My horse has a tendon tear RIGHT down in her foot, underneath the navicular bone. I've therefore looked for things suggested for navicular disease/ syndrome but I'm not sure the Bioflow ones would be as good for this as they sit up on the leg?
Thanks for any comments.

cant comment on fmbs but do rate bioflow. i wouldnt be concerened about where they sit as it works throught out the body 'The theory behind them is these products work by putting a charge in the bloodstream, encouraging the blood to accept more oxygen.'
we have a collar on our dog who was not getting out of bed and when she was, was so stiff she couldnt run around. now i am tempted to take it off her! she is a different dog full of beans and not stiff at all.

Not really that related but as you know weve got a similar injury . Scooby has the N.E.W magnetic bell boots as the tear is in the foot and then the equilibrium wraps with the magnets either wrapped around his pastern or running down his tendon at the back.

I use straps from magnetic - you can buy just one if you only have one leg with a problem. The straps can be put below or above the fetlock. Cairo wears them below his fetlock on fronts and above on hinds.

Once used to them they are designed to be left on. Cairo has not had his removed for over two years.

I have an FMBs magnetic/massage rug and its really fab - Archie is so much looser after wearing it, and its good for cooling down properly aswell as it keeps the blood circulating.

I also have the magnetic straps that Theresa has which he wears on his front legs all the time when hes in his stable.

Ive just bought him (should be arriving tomorrow) the veredus magnetik stable boot to wear on his hind legs at night instead of the stable wraps he normally wears as they provide support to the suspensory (im paranoid!!)

Sounds like it doesn't really matter then!

Tempi - I was going to buy the Veredus boots when she was on box rest but 1) she didn't like them, 2) they were too warm (I'm also paranoid about getting the legs too hot), and 3) they are a bit big and fiddly for me, especially at the moment - I want something I can whack on while tacking up and untacking when I start working her.
No point in me trying to leave anything on either, I can't even keep a fly mask on her at the moment because the 3yo loves to play with these things!

I feel a Badminton shopping list coming on!

At a horse show last year I bought my hubby the FMB wrist magnets as he has terrible pain and lose of dexterity in wrist & thumbs. He put them on going to bed, muttered about prefering a t-shirt from the show instead of wrist supports but got up the next morning vertually pain free and continues to wear them. Now, he can't be convinced it was only the magnets as they offered a degree of support & heat so without doing scientific research we will never know! BUT.. he still wears them!
