Has anyone used one or had anyone experience of a mailer bridging rein? I'm really really bad at letting the reins slip through my hands, will they help?

Ive got one for my boy as when he jumps he throws his head down and buggers off, works really well as I found bridging them didn't help as he was so strong I couldn't hold them. They do help you keep a contact tho x
