Make Girth straps shorter?

I have a gorgeous sencond hand butet dressage saddle that my horse and I love. However, the girth straps are extremely long, and one is quite frayed at the end.
Can anyone recommend somewhere (ideally hertfordshire area) that would be good at shortening the girth straps?
