Makes of saddle suitable for welsh D

Hello, I have a 15.2 welsh D . He is short backed but has a fairly high wither. His saddle has been fitted and regularly checked by a qualified and well respected fitter and he does seem happy in it. However, I do not think it fits me very well or helps my position. Due to being short backed he can only take a 16.5 inch. He has a kent and masters pony saddle ( the long legged version) can not remember the proper name.
I am 5 ft 3 a size 12 my bottom is not the smallest!
Thinking about looking at another make maybe next year. Any thoughts on makes. Prefer second hand. Thanks

The AH saddles are pretty good for short backed cobs.

i have a pony cob and horse on my section D, and an AH workers saddle on my C - both pretty much the same shape, just different seat sizes!

black country was also very well recommended by my saddle fitter

PC&H was set up by an ex AH fitter, no longer in business, and not the same quality or consistency, but there are certainly decent ones out there. Happy to answer any questions on AH.

my saddle fitter did tell me who bought the remaining stock, but i got mine 2nd hand - paid £420 for it and my saddle fitter valued it at £800 when i text the number on the saddle, they were very helpful despite no longer being in business!

i think i actually like it more than the AH! just a really smart little saddle. i bought it off just the seat size and lots of photos, thinking if the tree was wrong etc it’s easy enough to get my money back - so far it’s not needed to be adjusted at all! so my good fortune may make me biased

I have a Black Country WH for my boy on the Euro tree. It’s only a 17inch but feels bigger due to the flatter seat so I feel like I’ve got more room. I normally don’t feel good in anything less than 17.5 due to stupidly long thighs in comparison to my height
