OMG that is just awful. Poor poor girl and family.

I remember when we were getting taught our riding and road safety at PC and we were shown a video of what can happen if your foot gets caught in the stirrup when you fall off. It was a simulation using a dummy but gave me nightmares for months. To be honest, I hope that she was wearing a hat but even if she was I can't see how the outcome would be much different if she was indeed dragged for a mile!

I have just posted this above, sorry didn't read this first. I must admit I did wonder if she was wearing a hat. It shows how you take things for granted. I wouldn't think twice about doing this on my horse, maybe I will now?
