aka helping someone to buy the horse they need, rather than stick with the unsuitable one they've got.

In this instance, his wife, who had a bad fall 3 years ago and has been scared stiff of the horse ever since (with good reason), barely riding and only indoors if she did so.

We went horse shopping a couple of weeks ago, found her the perfect horse, and today she was happily w/t/c in the outdoor arena, and hacking off road in company.

I confess he made me shed a tear too when he came and said thank you and was so emotional about his wife finally back doing what she loves 💕 he clearly adores her!

Having had an even more sh1t week than normal, it has totally made my day to make someone smile (and someone cry 😳) .

That's so lovely and I totally understand your emotions. If you don't mind me piggy backing off your thread, I have also had a couple of lovely things happen to friends this week - one friend got engaged to the love of her life, in her mid 50s, never been married before, generally unlucky in love, and I've known about this relationship since the very first swipe!! And another has found her perfect horse after a frankly awful time over the past 3 years (lost her brother to covid and two horses last year). I met the new mare today, and it just made me feel so happy for her, and a little bit emotional too! x
