Making a jump - is this safe?

Just making a dolls house xc jump. I am painting the roof red. I was going to use some black paint to create "tiles" on it, but I was wondering if doing this makes the jump unsafe in anyway due to creating some kind of distraction for the horse?

Shouldnt do, we used to have wells which were red with white "tiles"

I was wondering why it mattered since only toy horses would be jumping it and then I realised the jump was the dolls house not a jump for a dolly who lived in the dolls house .........mmmmmm LOL!!
