I have come across some plastic holders that were used for the chain type fencing similar to this...

The have a metal base and i was wondering if that i fill them with sand or simliar to give them more weight and drill holes to fit jump cups....would this work??
I would only like a couple of small jumps at the mo, just wondered on opinions!

Phew, i found them today and had the idea. They seem sturdy enough and although not high would be a start. I'd be going back to basics after not jumpig for ages anyway.
Will have to hunt around for other ideas...

See if you can find some old tires to stack up - we use them to balance poles over. Or you can even find old steel drums at the rubbish tip sometimes (paint them up a bit)

To be honest I think you'd do better buying something like this:

or these:

These already have the feet, come with a pair of jump cups & you know they work. With all the messing about you will probably have to do with the fence posts it's hardly worth it? :)

I have made numerous wings/stands & they are easy to make. You don't need many tools, they fit together with a couple of coach bolts & are fairly quick to make. Have a go, or if you can't there must be someone you know who can knock up a few for you. ;)

I am happy to buy some...even happier to make them for nothing!
I came across the posts yesterday, wouldn't be buying them so making things for free is always good, isn't it?

I will probably end up making some out of wood that i find as well.
