I've been looking into putting my gelding on a joint supplement but shocked by the price of them specially as so many are just fillers.
One top brand everyone recommended is just pure glucosamine HCL selling at over £80 per 1kg. Another popular one is glucosamine HCL, MSN and chondroitin which is £37 per 600g lasting one month.
I've looked into the individual elements with proven research on horses and glucosamine HCL and MSM come up best.
I've bought a kg of pure 100% glucosamine HCL for £20 and a 1kg of 100% pure MSM for £11.99, going to mix them together and start giving him that. It will work out £31.99 per 100 days which is a lot cheaper.
Has anyone else made their own supplement?
