I am just replanning my fields a little bit. I am thinking of using part of my winter field for a round pen or small working area that I can lunge my horse and my children could do some work with the shetland. As this turns mainly to mud during the winter and is not really good for grazing I thought I could put sand down so this area can be used in winter and summer for exercising. It can still be used for turnout when needed during the winter. It would also be situated just by my hardstanding area and shelter.
I think this would work well, but any ideas on how to do this or reasons not to let me know!! Thanks
