making saddle cover/bridle

I was looking to buy a saddle cover and bridle bag, but looking at them, I am sure its possible to make some myself for a lot cheaper.

has anyone got any material reccomendations and/or advice on making either?

Defo possible to make one, just borrow a friends to use as a template and off you go!!!! I am refering to the fleecey ones which seem to be one piece of fleece with a bit of elastic around the edges!!!!

For £17 & p+p you can get the pair of them already made. It hardly seems worth the bother of making?
