Ok, so I go back to the question I asked yesterday afternoon, prior to the mass edit.....

Noir and Troubleshere - can you, for the sake of this little filly, put your differences with ErF asside - and work with them to ensure the welfare of this little horse?

I think that all the bickering really does pale in to insignificance if your aims are the same - even if you want to get there by a different means.

I would be delighted to read a new thread or a continuation from this, telling us that differences have been put aside and the welfare of Malaga has been put first.

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please.....

Actually Admin, my understanding from reading subsequent posts were that the email posted had been done so at the request of the person....

wkd_blue2388 - if I understand it correctly, you are Venus's daughter? If so, perhaps you could let us know how Malaga is and what the vet has suggested. Many of us are very worried about her.

As I understand it the following options have so far been offered and are still available:

1. Gift Malaga to ERF and we will take the financial burden of nursing her back to health and rehoming her under contract in France,

2. Pay for Malaga's care with an experienced carer until she is well enough to travel the long distance to the UK (see the detailed costing on the opening post of this thread),

3. Leave her at the safe haven and pay only costs not livery (and hope that they can find an experienced helper as they are unable to speak to GtF about Malaga's condition) until she is well enough to move to the UK,

4. Move her somewhere recommended by TroublesHere which provides standard livery.

We are all very interested to hear what Venus has decided is in Malaga's best interests.

I'm with Sooty on this ....I'm SOOOOOO glad this horse was saved from a quick death and trip to a dinner plate so that she can live on in this manner....

It makes so much more sense and is so much kinder...

without even taking into account the purchase price just how many really worthwhile horses could that rehab cost actually help?

any information regarding malaga health and vet visits will no longer be posted on here

you are not for one minute concerned about the horse

you just want to hang someone out to dry

well on this occasion you are out of luck

isn't that rather a sweeping statement about all forum members!

All posts stemmed from concern about the horse, everything else came afterwards.

Today I saw at first hand the condition of Malaga's stable mates now safe at a foster carer. I was truly horrified that these horses were abandoned in the way they were. Several individuals have now seen Malaga and all say that Malaga is far worse than the two horses I have seen today, yet the vet apparently saw little problem and said that she could travel the long journey to the UK in 4 weeks?

Even if we do not receive updates on Malaga, we will post updates of these two poor souls. Just bear in mind that Malaga is worse, far worse and she is being cared for by inexperienced carers because they will do it for free.

PLEASE get Malaga to a safe, experienced, professional, intensive care livery and take responsibility for her. Having owned her for over two weeks, a visit would be a very, very good idea.

Unlike you the people on this forum are purely concerned with the welfare of the horses, if they want to 'hang someone out to dry' it is purely because that 'someone' is a) making money out of misery and b) taking money from the gullable.

If you are Malaga's owner, you want to stop worrying about yourself and get your lazy backside over to France, that filly needs a RESPONSIBLE and caring owner, not someone who is willing to let her suffer and starve. If you can't afford to pay for her keep - hand her over to someone who can give her the care she deserves.

You make me sick.

you lot all jumped on the band wagon due to the article in the magazine

pity you were not concerned long before that and you might have saved a few lives instead you belittle ppl who open their hearts to these poor animals destined for slaughter

i for one suggest maybe you keep you disgusting degrading comments to yourself before you have a legal rite slapped on your backside quicker than you can wipe it

true - and this is likely to continue for some time, until the situation is resolved and british dealers stop making money out of these poor animals

Several people on this site actually rescue and rehabilitate horses, only not from France, it seems only French rescue is worth applauding in your eyes

I just knew you were out to cause trouble today when I saw yet another newbie posting on these franch things.

For your info long long before the article things were going on behind the scenes to stop all of this cr@p, so get your facts straight.
No one is jumping on any bandwagon and no one is bullying anyone. It is just the fact that taking these horses to England and then selling them on at a profit straight away is dealing no matter how you dress it up!
So if you cant add anything constructive to this then go and crawl back under your stone.

littlepea......There are any number of members on here who are very well aware of the names and locations of those involved with Malaga.....dont you think that if this were purely a witch hunt those names would have been plastered all over the internet by now.

Please dont flatter yourself.....its the HORSE which people are interested in at the moment....you may have failed to grasp the point that all these threads are about WELFARE and not about hanging people out to dry.

We have been concerned since before we picked up Chantelle for BankEnd Rescue which was many, many months ago. As far as I can see, the only bandwagon that has been jumped upon is the opening up of 'rescue' forums with rather dubious practices.

not all of us sit at our computers 24 hours a day.

Malaga has had the vet out yesterday. Wormed, bloods taken and living conditions given the all clear by the vet.

And my question still goes unanswered. What are venus' intentions for this animal. hardly seems worth importing her now does it when the world and his wife know what a sham all this has been....cant really sell her on can she.
