my cob has sallenders, diagnosed by the vet, he said to use pig oil and sulphur once a week on affected areas and on all legs up to kness/hocks in winter to help prevent mud fever...

yes, my horse suffers. I need to order some pig oil and sulphur but Im not sure where to get it from.

Most feathered horses suffer in varying degrees from what I can gather.

i got my pig oil and sulphur from tom brewster at the heavy horse supplies x glad im not the only one whose pony/horse suffers, my pony has cracks that are almost always there which has a bit of yellow gue stuff that dries, but this place that had flared up has always been a bit worse, not infected but pink and it has been bleeding, have slapped some mabs mud fever oil stuff on this morning to soften the scabs then im putting more pig oill and sulphur on this evening, it must be so sore, he doesnt like me touching it all x
