Im really getting fed up with the British weather now, thats three events/weekends on the trot which have been cancelled

We're both getting seriously bored but am hopefully going to try and get out to Somerford/Kelsall to do the farm ride as long as they're open.

Can't believe it!!! But have decided to take myself to Somerford instead on the farm ride...I had my dressage test perfect and my baby knows there is an event coming uo as we have been doing training on our canter track...(at least I don't have to plait though!!)
I think you have to wait for your day ticket I'm afraid, do you have another one that you can use!!

Thats a shame. I'm not working this weekend so could have come and watched. Quite surprised really as the ground round here is getting better by the minute.

nope, do i have to ring them or do the automatically send it you back? i want to put myself in for bold but before the ballot day.

Normally, if an event is cancelled they send your entry form back to you and it is stamped so that you can send it off with your next entry, then if there is a ballot you will be given priority.
But I do believe that daytickets are non transferable.
And reading from the rules (correct me if I'm wrong) you will get 75% back if
a) theres a cancellatin of the event after you have made your entry
b) on production of a medical certificate if your horse isn't fit to run.
But if I were you I would give BE a call just to check what you can do

Those planning on going to Somerford - just check with them first cos last I heard both farm rides were also shut!

Im surprised aswell as was at Kelsall yesterday on the XC and the ground was fantastic.
Will always check with Somerford but there is a high probability that it will be closed! Oh and realised Kelsall isnt open this weekend

I just want to get out somewhere! So if anyone hears of anything, please let me know

Whose hard work are you talking about?! - Yours with horse or my OH's with the course??!!

Yes, they're all as pi***d about Malpas being cancelled as you competitors are and it's not their fault either, you can blame the blo88y weather!
Course is ready to go but after a near month of continual rain, the parking/access which is owned by another person, not the event owner, would have been the main problem because of traffic trying to get on the field, holding up other traffic on the A41; the backlogs would have caused real problems with the police. It started drying well at the weekend but on Monday, we had a torrential storm, 3/4 of an inch in only 20 minutes over the course and although it's been semi ok since then and everything was ready to go, another bad storm this afternoon finally nailed the coffin for it.

OH has worked hard all year for this and now will have to wait another year to see any benefit for it; with any luck, you will all be able to compete in the next week or two; I wish you all luck when you do.

Flic - the clinic with BL wasn't running anyways! We're off to do the farm rider tomorrow or Sunday, or possibly XC schooling tomorrow. If you want to meet up for a session then let me know - you have my facebook and tel no? If not I'll PM it to you. We're gutted as well - we've had 3 cancelled now and Rich is not very keen n going novice now as he hoped he'd get a few runs in at PN and that isn't likely to happen!!!

Hi, hows the lovely Boris. Shame Malpas is not on, had thought you might be there and was going to try and look you up. This weathers a real pain. It rained here again last night and this morning so the ground will probably be deteriorating again. Daughter has had to swap her days off as her RC show was changed from last Sunday to this Sunday, she'll go mad if its postponed again.

MFH - reading of your connections with the Malpas event, I'm wondering if you know or used to know our Murph , his previous owners nickname is "Tiddles"!

I don't know Murph but do know his old owner if it was CT! - she's the only one I know called that as far as I know! He's not that lovely dun she had some years ago is he?

Yes it is CT, but he's not a dun, he's a liver chestnut, but he is lovely! Her daughter used to ride him mainly I think, though think CT hunted him a bit, possibly more with N Staffs than Wynnstay. He has one eye that always shows the white a bit and a very bushy mane, we've had him since Jan 2004. He's a really good allrounder, though very strong xc and hunting.
