Has anyone been there ?? Was thinking of entering just in the intro with my girly, and was wondering what the general concencus (spelling!!) was on it!! Any info would be great thankyou

Personally we love Malpas - it's a traditional, old-fashioned course (a bit like a hunter trials course) with a lot of fences in the hedge lines with a few stand-alones. Haven't done the intro there, but the pre-novice and novice and fairly straightforward so I would assume the intro is as well. The intro course was used for PC ODE's previously I think. It's quite friendly and the ground tends to hold up quite well if it's been dry beforehand.

It's what they term an old fashioned course in that there are a lot of hedges, timber, part of a coffin, two pond fences etc; a lot of the fences are in hedgerows, there are some island fences too. There's a slight hill but most of it's pretty flat. Last year was the first time we had an Intro.
It's a very friendly event - cross country collecting ring steward (me!) is always obliging and friendly!!!!!!!!
If you pm S_V, he'll tell you more as a competitor but I can say that there are very little gripes that I hear of as they finish the courses if that helps!
