I have an outdoor manège with a Flexi-ride surface (carpet fibre chopped up). I find that it really seems to attract midges and my horses are all headshaking, even with nose nets on. I’m thinking of replacing the surface but, as I’m quite happy with it otherwise, I don’t want to go to the expense of it if all surfaces are the same. Has anybody had similar experiences with this type of surface? Any tips or advice on what to replace it with? Grateful for any thoughts. Thanks.
