Benjamin - I live in Brentwood, but GG is now stabled near Writtle.

Haniki - yes he does seem to be settling now, seemed a lot of the problem was sheer frustration of being fed at different times! He is still a little lively to ride, so I am just lunging him for 10mins first to be on the safe side.
