I'm moving yards soon and will be changing from Bedmax shavings to flax. I have never used flax before so am wondering on the best way to manage it? Any advice much appreciated!

Fab stuff. Best way is to leave some wet in, as it helps it bed down and settle. I semi deep littered it, so took all dropping out and threw up surface of the bed, and left the "base" of wet down, and took out the wet when it got a little soggy, so about once very 10days. Makes a nice solid base then that doesnt move but the bed looks and smell clean and fresh

I use flax ( equisorb to be exact ).

I take the poos out daily and the wet once a week.

Its a godsend as i throw away sooo much less compared to the shavings i had and im saving 50% on my bedding costs.

Its smells nice too and looks clean.

It's fantastic stuff. Much better than shavings.

I did much the same as KatB- nice solid bed, leave the wet in to form a base, then take droppings/wet on the top out each day.
