Mandy the stuffed shetland

Has anyone else been to the natural history museum in Oxford and been greeted at the door (well not quite!) by Mandy the very stuffed shetland pony? The poor girl apparently died of natual causes

Anyway great museum, would recommend it if you are having a day out there -we went for the Steam Punk exhibition; not sure if its still on though..

No, havnt seen her but really hope she did die naturally!

I'm working alongside National Museums of Scotlands taxidermy department at the moment and they gave me a guided tour of the workshop. Apparently every exhibit they have has died of natural causes or been PTS for another purposes - nothing they work on has been killed specifically for them, a comforting thought I think when your looking at extinct or rare exhibits!
