Mane growth !

Hi, I have a surprise show that my friend's have entered me into - it is in just over a month. Unfortunately I cannot plait my horse's main as it is not permitted in this type of class, which is not great as my horse has half a long mane and half a short one , due to previous issues with mites which have caused him to rub it. I can't pull the rest of the mane as it is too short - I was just wondering if there were any products or anything that anyone could recommend to try and make it look a little better - thanks

I have similar problem where winter rugs rubbed bottom section, messy but camrosa seemed to help. Cornacresine (sp) is supposed to work too but again messy.

What about hogging if it would suit your horse then it can all grow back together? It wouldn't suit mine even though I have thought of it
