Any suggestions for mane saving?! I've long wondered why my pony's mane appears so follicly challenged. He has a lush prolific tail, but his mane never gets beyond about 3" long and sticks up like a loo brush. There is never any evidence of him rubbing it or his field chum eating it.

However, I did notice at the weekend (the bits were plaited for a show to help make them lie down a bit ;)) that after he'd had a roll lots of hair had broken off at the roots and came away in my hand.

So, apart from sticking a neck cover on 24/7/52 any suggestions how I can get him a half decent mane?

Make sure he's on a good vit and min supplement, maybe add some biotin, something for hooves and hair, is he looking ok otherwise ?
