Mane / Tail / Coat rakes.

I saw in H&H last week, an advertisement for those tail rakes, and also mentioned that they did a coat rake.
Has anyone tried the coat rakes? what do they do... actually shorten the coat??

I haven't actually tried any of them, but many members of the Donkey Breed Society forum board think they are the best thing since sliced bread. They do actually cut off some of the coat. Thewebsite shows a video of a horse being done with a coat rake

I've used one to thin my girls ' mane as she won't let me [ull it. It's much better than thinning scissors or a Solo Comb in my opinion

my friend has used my rake for both my yearlings coat and her mane. She says it works brilliant on both.
