Mane & tail hair loss

I have a beautiful Hanoverian 16.3hh dark brown mare who is on Cornucrescine supplement to try and improve her thin (and fairly pointless) mane and tail. The hair seems quite weak and breaks very easily and I'm wondering if anyone else has treated the same problem successfully and what with. She has no signs of sweetitch or any other skin problem so it doesn't seem to be rubbed off. She is also on calm & condition and has a beautiful coat generally. She has been on both for nearly a year now with little success. Please help, I'm at my wits end!
 
hi, i will be interested in the replies as my horse is exactly the same although tail ok. This weekend i had to make him 4 false plaits from a donor mare !!! Interestly he is a hanovarian and i had a hanovarian X arab with the same problem. My horse is on equihoof supplement and in in good condition super glossy coat, fast hoof growth. Just bought him some hair extensions of ebay - no i am not joking LOL!!
