My new horse arrived yesterday (Yay! Exciting but more to come on that!) and well basically I think she has been left in the field for 2 weeks since we agreed to purchase her and sorted vet etc.
So she is in need of some TLC and luckily I have today off work. Anyway discovery number one was 2 lose hind shoes - One half hanging off and the foot badly split - an emergency call to my farrier (who I now love even more) and she was reshod by 7pm (having arrived at the yard at 5pm) with hoof filler.
So second discovery and the point of my post... Help!
They have clipped the underside of her mane rather than pull it! She obviously grows a yard brush of a mane (the ID in her). It is regrowing by about 2 inches and it looks AWFUL!!! What do I do to fix it?! I know that clearly it will regrow and I can pull it out but I have plans in the meantime and I don't want people thinking I am the idiot that clipped it!!!
