Manege waterers/irrigation

We had our manege put in at the start of 2007. We're really happy with it and the surface is great, however (as warned by the constructors) it needs regular heavy watering during the summer. We bought some sprinklers from the local garden centre but, not surprisingly, they were pretty useless! During the wetter colder months the surface is fab but we want to sort something out in advance for the summer.

Any ideas of what we could do/use? Any irrigation/watering recommendations would be great

Like a tropical heatwave to last 5 months!
