Manes and Tails just wondered

Here for showjumping or dressage or cross country do you normally plait either if you have time? If I do compete again I hope to ride two different riding school horses it will be a training showjumping event would I be allowed to plait either one's tail? or should I just groomed them? I will do 3 classes they belong to the riding school Sorry if I made no sense

For dressage most people plait the mane, a smaller number also plait the tail. For showjumping most people wouldn't do either, unless it was a big deal type of show.

Showjumping I don't tend to plait either, but I'd plait tail before mane if bog brush like - but I like them to have a free neck for jumping.

Dressage I plait both, but my mane plaits are chunky and and loose at the root as again I like the neck to be as free as possible.
