Manes at Olympia

i always cut one of my horses mane cos it's fine, he wont have it pulled and i like it! i spent ages on my old horse getting his mane competely straight with the scissors although i had pulled it first and i'd had to let the hideous short eventer pulling grow out first ;-)

LMAO

Prince33Sp4rkle , I must be your long lost, equally evil sister. I do all those things! My boy also hates having his mane pulled so often has a visit from a pair of scissors.

I hope in this weather you are making sure your exercise sheet matches your bandages. lol

I think i'll have to join you two in hell too as i do all these things, and always have to have matching/colour coordinated bandages/rugs when im schooling and competing! Lol! I can't really see what the issue is with scissored manes as long as the horse does the job and looks smart and tidy, what's the problem?! I don't really follow showjumping but after watching it last night, i thought how nicely they all looked and went for their riders.

Haha!! Not too far from you Prince33Sp4rkle, how does fluffy over reach boots, white bandages and diamante browbands grab you as a possible matching outfit? hehe!!

people are probably laughing at us, but i actually do hack in white bandages and fluffy over reach boots.its not work, its a fashion parade.....!!!!!

my exercise sheet is blue edged grey-yours?

what colour breeches?

do you have a gpa?

these are all important points to consider in a hacking partner......

i think I am a cross between princesssparkle and rockpaperscissors. or am i just confused!

i have colour coodinated ensembles even for hacking (mostly brown, white or pink)
I wear a GPA and wear bling.

However full length tails are just a big no no! My ponies mane is pulled, and the comment about " a 13yr old called Chanelle" made me absolutely pee myself.

Please tell me you are joking?????? Do people really put straighteners on their horses???

I tried it in an attempt to stick down a bolt upright mane before plaiting! Didnt work, but then I was using cheapo straighteners - nothing can beat GHD's.

Hehe!! You see, if i were to hack out in white bandages they would soon turn to brown so black brushing boots have to suffice for hacking out off road. But in answer to your questions, it would have to be a navy exercise sheet to go with my navy eurostar breeches (my faves) and my pikeur jacket and im not a massive fan of GPA's so my box standard skull cap would be adorned out hacking too. LOL!!

I love em especially as my boy is sporting the cut look - he hates having his mane pulled and it falls to the wrong side so unless i want to twitch him to pull it and wasting valuable time to keep plaiting it over every three days i let it fall on the wrong side and out come the scissors i personally think they look stylish !!
It was the way the US were doing them when i was grooming there about 15 years ago i also saw mohican types that were very short hogged at the wither graduating to about 2 inches at the poll i thought they looked fantastic on a cresty horse !!!

benjis_girl & Prince33Sp4rkle, will I be allowed to join you with my navy blue edged bottle green exercise sheet & matching navy blue bandages? Or would I be better ditching the exercise sheet in favour of my grey saddle cloth (complete with bling in the corner) & grey bandages?
