Does anyone have experience of claiming on Many Pets insurance. I put in a claim in early January and a subsequent one end of January and haven’t heard a thing. I’ve emailed and tried to call (just to be kept on hold for over ten mins each time). There seem to be a fair few disgruntled customers on their fb page, yet others seem to have been paid out in literally a few days or even hours.

I've been with them with youngest heeler for a couple of years, back when they were Bought by Many. My vets were happy to claim direct for his leg surgery and I think were paid quickly . Since then I have claimed for his regularly physio/hydrotherapy and the majority of the time they were super quick, best was a claim I put in on a Sunday evening and the money was in my account 7 am next day. I had one claim end of last year that took several weeks and I had to chase them (it's worth the wait on the phone) and after some feeble excuses they paid me. The most recent claim I submitted , by phone because their online doesn't really work for continuing claims, they took details and said they would email to ask for invoices but they paid the money to my account the next day without even having invoices. So generally they have been good, just seems every so often they have a blip. Definitely worth getting a cup of tea and sitting waiting for someone to pick up on the phone in my experience.

Aren't they an incarnation of E&L? I'm afraid nothing surprises me about that lot! I hope you get your money soon but if not there is an insurance ombudsman, I believe.

I don't think so no, I would have run a mile if E & L had shown up when I was checking them out. They were a new company but have recently been taken over , I think the underwriters are a French company now.

I have to be a bit circumspect as I work in pet insurance but I think it's fair to say that I wouldn't consider that time frame unusual for them. At one time they aimed to process in 8-10 weeks but they informed us recently that they now have no upper time limit. It causes huge problems for us and for clients.

Thanks! My job for Monday morning.

Yes I have claimed with them.

The smaller claims were settled in a matter of days. The larger claim which was a few thousand, took about 8 weeks.

They take a while, but hey, at least they do pay out without a fuss.

I was with them for two years when they were Bought by Many and the two claims I made took 9 weeks and 12 weeks respectively - luckily I wasn't desperate for the money and they DID pay out, my vet liked them as a company, so I was happy enough. When Joe turned 9 the premium shot up massively (common when they turn 9, I think?) and it coincided with them becoming Many Pets - and when I checked their reviews they'd gone crazily downhill, so I swapped to another company instead. I did really like the Bought by Many online claim aspect, though.

I’ve had to make a few claims with them over the years. They dealt with my vets directly and were always super quick- can’t fault them at all

I also put a claim in in Jan snd it’s still not been paid, I have called 4 times and each time told it will be sorted out within 5 days but still nothing, when I login it doesn’t even say it’s with a claim handler, had enough of keep calling them, takes a while to get through too, last time I was put in a queue of 19, wonder why the quoins so long hmmmmm

I've been with them for the last 3 years, since my dog was 12 weeks old. The renewal premium has gone up massively this year tho, in spite of never having made a claim.
