Hey, has anyone had any experience of putting a marble inside a mare??

My mare is having problems with her seasons, it was recommended last year and with her having been in season for the past 13 days, the vets recommended i think about. they said they have a near on 100% success rate, and no prolems. the only "problem" in the rare horse is that it doesnt work. THe vet is a fertility /breeding expert vets, so i figure the right ones to trusT!!! They put marbles in a lot of filly racehorses apparently.

It just concerns me a foreign object going inside my horse!!!! But, it must be totlaly safe nad work just fine????

Anyone come across this at all??????

Thanks

marbles do work! tho can be hard to get out again IF you decide to breed... it tends to be a last option after regumate, or an implant....

Actually - the main problem with the marble is some mares 'spit' them out!

If OP's vets are getting near 100% success, that's above average. And the marble would be a better choice than Regumate - which is rather 'iffy' stuff to handle - and expensive! I would use Regumate if the mare wouldn't keep the marble in!:D
