Has been in for a spay today as she had cysts on her ovaries. She is now officially my most expensive piggie, obviously eating post anaesthetic is super important for these guys, marble has helped this by manoeuvering the hay roller so she can eat in bed . Hopefully she continues and heals up ok. I didn't get much work done today waiting for the phone call, Im not good at waiting for phone calls anyway let alone vet ones.

Did you have to travel far to find a vet practice that does exotics?

Newmarket, it’s the vets4pets there so just off the main road which is handier too.

Bit of a bad hair day overnight but lots of poo and eating well this morning. Piggy cam set up while I’m at work but we seem to be sleeping again .

She’s my prettiest pig, hoping she gets all her hair back, she looks funny with a naked belly.

The smell of the antibiotic is giving me childhood flashbacks

Ah glad she is doing well.

Phineas panicked me yesterday as he had a very sore runny eye… but on closer inspection I spotted a big strand of hay poking out so I pulled it and it was about half an inch long and had been stuck up under his eyelid. Poor thing.
An hour later and it was all fine again.

I’ve only just finished fixing Millie’s eye as she had a suspicious bit of oat chaff that had obviously been in and out then was fine for a few days then not . I’ve quite a good stock of meds and critical care food atm!
