Hi, new to this forum so hope I've posted in the right place!
My mare is currently displaying very extreme hormonal behaviour. She is throwing herself at walls and generally being a nightmare. Also much so she has damaged her hips and is now having to have a bit of time off work for them to heal. She has always been hormonal but this year is another level. She's 12 and as far as I'm aware has never had a foal. I have tried every moody mare supplement going with little effect so have been looking at other options.
She's been scanned recently and there are no issues with her ovaries or uterus. She's had every blood test going and there is nothing abnormal there. I have spoken to my vet and she is going for another scan on Friday and to have a marble fitted if everything is ok.
Has anybody got any experience of marbles and if so what level of difference did it make?
I am not wanting to use regumate at the moment as don't really want to have her on medication all year (she comes in season in winter as well!)
Thanks for reading!!
