mare bagging up?

also in breeding has anyone else had a mare who has had a false pregnancy as i have never had my served last year and i have to restrict her grazing as she is a native pony.
when i been to check her this morning she has started to bag up and has a rather large belly to go with it

it is a couple of years since she had her last foal as she is getting on in years.
apart from this she is fit and healthy, but however when i have checkedc for other signs the muscles under her tail look as though they have slackened.
could it be false or do you think she has possibly had a visitor at somepoint advice needed please?

Yes my mare has done for the last 3 years, she is deffo not in foal and has NEVER even had a foal. My vet said a lot of mares do it and just keep them clean to keep flies away, as my mare runs milk

cant tell you how relieved i feel now. i was starting to panic as none of my mares have ever done this before.

Don't worry, its all fine. I was a little concerned the first year.

My mare has just started doing it, I got the vet out last summer as I was so worried. She has just started doing it again in the last week or so. It is strange though as I had never heard of mares doing this so I just paniced lol x.
