No you’re not being silly at all.My girl used to come in season if I left her under a solarium, or sometimes when I left the stable light on a bit too long in the evenings.
Probably unrelated and me being silly. But like clockwork if she had been under the solarium she'd be in season within a couple of days.
Seasons can be triggered by light. Hence why some mares don’t come into season during the winter-restricted daylight but come in from April time - longer hours of daylight
