Mare "Humping" other mares

Why is this?
Should i be worried??
Shes only just started it - pls advise

One of our mares did it when she was in season, but the other two didn't do it. Cows do it when they are ready to go to the bull. Maybe she's feeling abit hormonal.

my dogs all female tend to get randy when one is in season, i suppose it could be the same for horses

Mine did this. She was also v aggressive & had stallion-like behaviour, biting, kicking, not letting people approach the other mare etc. We had her scanned & she had an ovarian tumour - not cancerous It was removed & she was fine.

You would prob know about it if this was the issue as my mare's general behaviour wasn't what you'd expect from a mare!

Thanks all - in general her behavior hasn't changed at all. So maybe its just a hormonal issue. Will keep an eye on her for any change.
